Indoor Air Quality
The mission of the Indoor Air Quality Program is to
work collaboratively with members of the community
to increase public awareness of factors that contribute
to or diminish indoor air quality.
Mesa County surrounding environment is unique and
includes a variety of living and nonliving components.
As we become more aware of the importance of preserving
the environment for the sake of nature and the health of
everyone, it is important to remember that our environment
includes our indoor living space.
Indoor air quality has become increasingly recognized as a health issue. Research has shown that the quality of indoor air can be worse than that of outdoor air. Many homes are being built or remodeled more tightly, without regard to the factors that assure fresh and healthy indoor air, so it makes sense that we keep our indoor air as clean as possible.
