Influenza-like-illness is on a slow decline in Mesa County, while the number of hospitalized cases so far this flu season is 100.
It’s not too late to get a flu shot if you haven’t yet.
Also, take these precautions:
- Wash your hands often.
- Sanitize surfaces often.
- Stay home from work or school if you’re sick.
- Get enough rest, exercise and eat well.
- Avoid touching your face, hands, mouth or nose.
Mesa County’s highest number of hospitalized flu cases came in 2009-2010 when H1N1 was circulating. That year, 117 people were hospitalized with influenza.
