The rise in influenza continues in Mesa County.
The total number of hospitalizations due to influenza is now at 31, up from the 26 cases reported on Monday. One Mesa County adult has died from influenza complications.
Follow these tips to protect yourself and your loved ones from getting sick:
- Get a flu shot. Even though this year’s vaccine isn’t a perfect match for the flu strain going around, some protection is better than none.
- Wash your hands often
- Stay home from work, school or social gatherings if you’re sick.
- Cough or sneeze into your elbow.
- Sanitize surfaces often.
