Mesa County Health Department is
holding an adult flu vaccination clinic open to the
public Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The clinic will be held at 510 29
½ Road in Room 1060.
Flu season typically begins in October
and runs through March with a majority of flu illnesses occurring between
December and February.
After the vaccination, it
takes approximately two weeks for the body to develop an immune response.
That’s why Mesa County Health Department recommends residents get vaccinated
now.
Residents with insurance
should bring their insurance card. Those without insurance are still eligible
to receive vaccinations. Cost will not be a barrier.
Health Department staff is
administering several on-site vaccination clinics for businesses this season as
well. Check with your employer to find out if your place of work is hosting a
clinic.

If your child needs to be
vaccinated, call the Mesa County Health Department at 248-6900 to make an appointment.
