The Mesa County  Health Department has received a $6,500 mini-grant from Associated Governments of Northwest Colorado.

The Health Department will use the grant to help purchase software that will establish benchmarks and allow the community to collectively monitor progress toward health goals.

Mesa County Commissioner Scott McInnis, who is the former executive director of AGNC, encouraged the county to apply for a mini-grant.

AGNC is a council of governments representing cities and counties in northwest Colorado, including the counties of Mesa, Garfield, Rio Blanco, Moffat and Routt.
