Health educators teach kids the importance of handwashing

by Diana Williams | Apr 10, 2015 | News

Mesa County public health educators this morning visited local child care centers to teach youngsters the importance of good hand washing.

The event was part of National Public Health Week.

A team of Health Department staff spent the morning at the Little Mavs child care center on the Colorado Mesa University campus and at Discovery Kids Learning Center’s new Grand Junction location.

Good hand washing is an important step to stopping the spread of disease.
