Mesa County Health Department nurses administered flu shots to 286 Mesa County residents during their Oct. 17 and Oct. 25 Adult Flu Clinics this year.
Flu season typically begins in October and runs through March with the majority of illnesses occurring between December and February. It takes about two weeks for your body to develop an immune response to the immunization, so it’s important to get yours as soon as possible.
