Mesa County Health Department vaccinated 130 community members at an adult flu clinic Thursday, Oct. 22.

Flu season typically begins in October and runs through March with a majority of illnesses occurring between December and February.

It takes the body about two weeks to develop an immune response after the vaccination, so now is a great time to get vaccinated.
