The Mesa County Health Department has
released the 2015 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). This tool provides
a current snapshot of the health status of Mesa County and brings attention to
the areas of concern to local health organizations and local citizens alike.
The 2015 CHNA identified the need for
continued work around the three winnable battles identified in 2012: suicide, obesity
and unintended pregnancy. Smoking, alcohol misuse and motor vehicle injuries
are also highlighted as priorities in Mesa County.

The CHNA can be viewed here. Health Department
officials encourage those who utilize the document to give feedback.
