NEXT DAY COVID-19 VACCINE APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE AT MESA COUNTY COMMUNITY VACCINATION SITE

The Community Vaccination Site (CVS) in Mesa County is open and ready to accelerate COVID-19 vaccinations in Mesa County and surrounding rural communities throughout western Colorado.

COVID-19 vaccines are now available to all Colorado residents and appointments are available. “With increased vaccine availability and supply, waitlists and access codes or tokens are no longer required,” Jeff Kuhr, Director of Public Health for Mesa County said. “I still hear stories of people visiting multiple websites, and refreshing to find appointments, that’s not needed in Mesa County right now. We can get you in as soon as the next day.”

This mass distribution site aims to make COVID-19 vaccination quick, easy, and convenient. “Your choice to be vaccinated helps us continue our reopening efforts, and helps restore the Western Colorado we all miss so much,” Kuhr added.

Mesa County Public Health (MCPH) in partnership with the State of Colorado is operating this Community Vaccine site with approximately 1,500 vaccine appointments per day. Expansion plans include increasing daily doses to up to 6,000 vaccines per day. The Mesa County site is located at the Grand Junction Convention Center, 159 Main Street, Grand Junction. Current hours are Monday through Friday with appointments beginning at 9 a.m.

In addition, MCPH is working with community partners to offer additional vaccine clinics at locations convenient for specific populations.
