Mesa County Public Health has issued a NO BURN ADVISORY through 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, due to air quality concerns. This includes Agricultural Open Burning (we are outside of residential Open Burn Season) and wood stoves that aren’t the primary source of heat.
The air quality index (AQI) is currently at moderate levels for particles of pollution. At this level, even healthy individuals may experience temporary symptoms, such as irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat, coughing, chest tightness, or shortness of breath.
