Downtown Grand Junction is hosting the first everDowntown Grand Junction is hosting the first ever Downtown Restaurant Week March 19 – 25 and five of our Partners in the Partnership for Food Safety are among the restaurants featuring specialized menu items.

If you haven’t heard about the special week downtown, here’s what you need to know:

  • Restaurant-goers can pick up a Downtown Restaurant Week passport at any of the participating restaurants.
  • You can earn stamps by ordering off of the special menus at each restaurant with a limit of one stamp per restaurant.
  • Diners who fill their passports with six stamps can be entered into a drawing for $50 gift certificates from participating restaurants.

“We’re proud to host the first-ever Restaurant Week held in the Grand Valley,” Downtown Grand Junction Business Improvement District Event Coordinator Caitlyn Love said. “With the help of Alpine Bank and Visit Grand Junction, Downtown is looking forward to welcoming all diners to try new menu items in the culinary epicenter of the Grand Valley.”

Dream Cafe, 626 on Rood, Junct’n Square Pizza, Pablo’s Pizza and Rockslide Brewery & Restaurant are the MCPH Partners participating in the 2018 Downtown Restaurant Week. The Partnership is a voluntary program through Mesa County Public Health (MCPH) that recognizes Mesa County restaurants and facilities that go above and beyond in excellent food safety practices, which helps prevent foodborne illness. Partners work closely with MCPH health inspectors, ensuring customers get the best quality products they can offer.

“We enjoy working with all of our Partners and we’re excited to see these five restaurant Partners involved in this special week in Downtown Grand Junction,”  said MCPH Program Manager Monique Mull.

626 on Rood, 626 Rood Ave., plans to offer a three course menu with several options for each course including a Gulf shrimp & corn bisque, a duck confit cassoulet and a baked Alaska for two. Pablo’s Pizza, 319 Main St., will offer a special salad with a spring mix, roasted brussel sprouts, artichoke hearts, red bell pepper, candied pecans and goat cheese. Pablo’s will also feature pizzas that are not on the regular menu, so don’t miss out! Junct’n Square Pizza, 119 N. 7th St., is working on a specialty deep dish pizza recipe in celebration of the festive week downtown.

Rockslide Brewery and Restaurant, 401 Main St., and Dream Cafe, 314 Main St., will announce their Restaurant Week menus soon, so check back for more info or just stop in at their locations during business hours!
