Individual Responsibility

This plan keeps our community’s overall health as a top priority and provides ways businesses can open safely but it requires individual responsibility from each resident to:

  • Maintain 6 feet of social distance
  • Wash hands often
  • Cover nose and mouth in public
  • Stay home when sick
  • Get tested if symptoms appear

Why do I need to fill out this application?

Because disease transmission in Mesa County has remained low, we have been able to loosen restrictions more quickly and to a greater extent than many parts of the state. This application allows businesses to demonstrate they have implemented safety measures and is the most efficient way to get the maximum number of businesses open.

Phase 2: Submit Your Plan

A new public health order in Mesa County outlines the next steps for our reopening.
This phase expands upon the current guidelines to allow:
     • Up to 50% capacity not to exceed more than 175 people in a confined indoor space for critical and noncritical businesses, including houses of worship.
     • Gatherings to expand to 50 people.
The order includes a requirement that operational plans be submitted to Mesa County Public Health.
