Mesa County employees will ride from the Community Services campus, 510 29 1/2 Road, to Grand Junction City Hall, 250 N. 5th St., for breakfast on Bike to Work Day, June 24.

The public is welcome to join Mesa County employees, who will be wearing red T-shirts, along the route. County employees will depart the Community Services building at 7:30 a.m.

The ride is a culmination of a month-long effort to promote cycling as a commuting option. In Grand Junction, only 2 percent of workers commute by bicycle.

Biking is a great way to reduce risks of heart disease, osteoporosis, obesity and other conditions and diseases.

Bike to work, or join County employees on the ride downtown on Wednesday!
